Position: Mailing Floor Manager

Reports to: Mailing Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Manufacturing

Location/Shift: Monroe, OH / Day Shift

Essential Function:

Oversee all mailing and data processing staff, equipment, scheduling, safety, training needs, quality and workflow of the mailing department. Be a positive example, a source of knowledge and a mentor to the Mailing staff. Satisfy the needs of internal and external customers.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years working as a lead Mailing Machine Operator, or a similar capacity

Excellent eye for detail
Highly motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel
Have an advanced knowledge of computers (knowledge of PSI is a plus)
Keep accurate and complete daily records for data collection
Meet company and departmental standards, including: Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc.
Follow Lahlouh ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists as necessary
Follow Lahlouh policies outlined in the company handbook
Work extended shifts, as business needs dictate
Perform other duties as required
Assist in training new and temporary employees

Position Specific Skills & Competencies:

General knowledge of company workflow, advanced knowledge of department workflow and requirements
Advanced knowledge of USPS rules and regulations and staying informed of any changes
Work with employees to keep production floor clean and organized
Attend daily mailing department meetings with other key personnel
Work closely with the Department Manager
Review, follow, and question information provided – require clarity and consistency
Serve as a trainer for new employees as well as cross training for current employees
Monitor all supplies and request needs in a timely manner so as not to disrupt the workflow of the department
Responsible for accurate and complete daily, weekly and monthly reports
Instruct and monitor all mailing production employees
Provide reports or other special projects as requested by manager
Be the liaison with the Post Office
Act as a backup for staff and perform their duties when necessary
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jacks and/or rolling carts
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion.
