Client Services Specialist – Print Solutions
Location: Detroit, MI
Job Type: Junior/Mid-Level
Compensation: $18 - $25/hour


Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative with experience in the printing industry. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inbound inquiries and supporting print-related questions.

This is a client-facing position that requires strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and manage all incoming calls, emails, and walk-in customer inquiries
• Serve as the front desk representative, providing a professional and welcoming client experience
• Assist customers with print-related questions, including materials, processes, timelines, and pricing
• Gather job specifications and create accurate print orders/job tickets
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients (cold calling) to generate new business
• Re-engage inactive or past clients to maintain relationships and drive repeat business
• Maintain accurate customer records and follow up on open quotes and orders
• Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of customer service experience (required)
• Prior experience in the printing, signage, or graphic communications industry (required)
• Strong understanding of print processes (digital, offset, large format, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable with sales outreach, including cold calling and follow-ups
• Professional demeanor with front desk/client-facing experience
• Proficiency with office software and CRM/order systems
• Can work in a Fast-paced print/production setting
• Experience with front desk, phone, and computer-based work

Preferred Skills

• Experience with print estimating or job ticketing systems
• Knowledge of paper types, finishes, and binding methods
• Ability to upsell services and identify client needs
